Works Completed
The current phase of the works have been completed therefore the range will be open for the full range of activites this weekend (20th/21st Feb.) The surface remains temporary due to a lack of available gravel on the site. This will be surfaced when we can source a suitable material that meets the approval of Natural England.

| Theft On the Range
To all concerned, if any member or a member of the public is found to be removing any of the clubs assets including lead from the backstop without express permission in writing from the committee, the police will be informed and they will be prosecuted in the courts. Recently, an adult and four children we found mining lead from the back stop on Friday 20th February. This action puts our backstop in jeopardy, large holes can undermine the backstop and could cause the range to be closed. The police have been notified.
In future, if any member notices criminal behavior, then do not confront the person or persons concerned, just telephone the Police and wait for their arrival.

.308/7.62 At the Hill
Your committee has diligently taken on board the request made at the AGM to get 308/7.62 certificated for our range.
To this end Mr Alan Moore prepared a RASP and had this document approved by the NRA, so that we can now shoot the above calibres at the hill. Therefore as from the 5th November 2008 the above can legally be shot at long last.
Mr Alan Moore has now been co-opted onto the committee as our new safety officer. He will now take over the responsibilities from Stuart Ford. We would like to thank Stuart Ford for all his hard work in this area and wish Alan Moore well in his new duties.

NRA CERTIFICATION
Any person wishing to shoot on an NRA or Military range will need to be certificated for each gun used.
The certificate is mandatory from 1st January 2009.
The Chairman is the only one in this club that will be able to sign the certificates.
East Holme is closed for the foreseeable future so Bisley is your only option to get your certificate signed.
Without this certificate you will not be able to shoot long distance. You have been warned.
